Lark Rise to Candleford (Female)

This is from an absolutely charming TV show set in the British countryside. Miss Dorcas Lane is fairly posh.

Miss Lane

Our conversation- your plans- or, as you would like to call them, your intentions. I have been considering what it all means. This time feels like a crossroads. I could not let this moment pass- please, let me finish. I have always shied away from love. I dare not venture there because I knew it would change everything. I wanted so much to hold on to what I have, because it is what I know. It is safe. When I look into your eyes, Gabriel, I want to change everything... (he rejects her) You will give your life to your work because that is safe? I am not Liza. I will not do to you... perhaps it would be best if you move on. Yes. I think it would. I would be grateful if you could leave by the end of tomorrow.

Camp (Female)

From NBC's "Camp" (Season 1 Ep 10)

Grace:

Hey, Buzz!  Come cheer for me. (He says no.)  Buzz Granger!  You are the most selfish, myopic, infuriating boy I've ever met!  Do you still have your arms and legs?  Are you in a rock being chased down by a drone?  You live in a postcard!  And there is a cute, high-achieving girl who's doing her very best to be nice to you.  We only have 24 hours left and I'm trying to spend them with you, because  for reasons that I don't fully understand, I like you.  Like, like like you.  Now...give me a kiss for luck.

Private Practice (Female)

Addison:

Woah, woah, woah!  Hold on a minute.  I have been working here less than twenty-four hours, and in that time, I have discovered that I'm not welcome here, I learned that I am a one-man gynee show, and I performed crazy MacGuyver surgery, and Sam saw my booty. So, this has not been a great day for me.  This day kinda sucked. But you know what?  I had one patient. One patient, the entire day, and I loved it. So you want me gone? Too bad! I'm in! I'm putting my foot down!  My foot's down. It's down- I'm not going anywhere. So...yeah. Ok, I...thought I had a big finish, but...I don't, so...I'm done. (Pause) No, no, I do have a big finish. If I hadn't been here today, if you'd had someone else, that girl would have died delivering her baby. I saved her life. I saved your asses. I'm a world-class neo-natal surgeon. And I'm here to stay. Welcome to the new Oceanside Wellness.

The Firm (Female)

THE FIRM (TV)- Episode 11

Abby McDeere

It’s just a house, right?  She loves you.  And, I get it.  You guys had a deal, you had a life that you built together and now she wants to change it.  Well, it happens.  People change, right?  That’s love.  That’s marriage.  All those things you think you don’t want to be, that guy, that static cliché in the suburbs, all of that is within your control.   A house isn’t going to make you someone you’re not.  It’s just going to make you someone who loves someone.

(about one minute long)
